Looking out for Precinct 3

Working Together for Winthrop’s Future

As a life long Precinct 3 resident I experience many of the same issues that others face in the precinct every day. I see the damage and hazards that are posed by the flooding that occurs here in Precinct 3 especially. I see how overcrowded our community already is, and I know how devastating it would be if the Commonwealth tried to force more housing in our already dense area. I hear and see the effects of the airport from my window and backyard every single day. There are so many important issues that Precinct 3 needs to deal with that have gone unaddressed for far too long. I refuse to continue to allow for Precinct 3 and it's issues to be ignored or pushed to the side any longer. That is why I am stepping up and running to be the Precinct 3 representation in the Winthrop Town Council.

My Campaign Focus

Emergency Planning

Winthrop has to be better prepared for storms and floods so residents are safe and supported when it matters most.

Airport Accountability

Logan Airport must take responsibility for the constant noise and pollution. I will push for stronger mitigation programs and fight to expand the free window replacement program for everyone affected.

Responsible Development

The state should not be forcing unnecessary housing into Precinct 3. Our infrastructure is already stretched too thin and we need to focus on the people who live here now.

Stronger Seawalls

We need to invest in seawalls that will truly protect our homes and shoreline from flooding and storm damage.

Smarter Transit

Our bus system should work for us. No one should wait half an hour during rush hour. We need more frequent service and bus schedules that actually line up with ferry times at the landing.

Better Streets

While the town has fixed many old roads in recent years, there is still much to be done. We need to give attention to fixing many of our roads that have been ignored for too long.

Community Safety

Traffic, overdevelopment, and safety concerns must be addressed with residents as the top priority.
